![]() The iconic monster really lives up to its name in this remake and is every bit as relentless as advertised. What's new, however, lies in what this team has done with the RE Engine to create intense scripted action sequences, primarily involving Nemesis (which shouldn't come as much of a surprise). Most of the great things about last year's remake are true for this one, from the beautifully gruesome visuals to the vastly improved characters and story. ![]() While there aren't any massive leaps forward from RE2 to this game, combat additions such as dodging, its perfect dodge counterpart, and environmental elements add some extra layers and fluidity to the experience. Escape very quickly becomes a priority during the game's opening minutes, in adrenaline-pumping fashion, and the rest is up to the player. member Jill Valentine and her relentless pursuer: Nemesis, a bio-organic weapon developed by the Umbrella Corporation with the sole purpose of hunting down those who can implicate the company in the current disaster befalling Raccoon City. Much like the original title, Resident Evil 3 centers on former S.T.A.R.S. ![]() The same breadth of evolution isn't necessarily true for this year's Resident Evil 3, but it does take some steps forward as it carries the survival horror torch onward. Capcom's 2019 remake of Resident Evil 2 was a stellar revival of survival horror, bringing a beloved classic to a modern era of gaming with spectacular results. It was made only better by the following cutscene that had my jaw drop when the Nemesis was able to infect Jill with the T-virus when you thought victory was finally achieved over your stalker.Another year has brought us another reimagining of a classic Resident Evil title and dare I say I hope this trend can continue at least one more time. Going back and forth with the monstrosity with my grenade launcher was an intense fight. My favorite entry in the Resident Evil 3 Remake Nemesis boss fight series was no doubt the second one where it first mutated into a more animal-like creature that ran on the walls of buildings like a panther. Each one had its uniqueness that honestly made them feel like you were fighting a completely different enemy every time. The highlights of the game’s story were no doubt the multiple boss fights that players engaged in with the Nemesis. However, getting to live out the moments where I was running for my life and knew there was nothing I could do besides trying my best to slow the Tyrant down just a little so I could make my escape to a safe area. Now, I was expecting this, considering it was the main focus of the game’s marketing ahead of its official release. This cat and mouse dynamic between the Nemesis and Jill was one of the very best parts of the game. The opening sequence to the Resident Evil 3 Remake is no doubt one of the best I have experienced in some time. My heart was pounding through the whole section helping Jill escape her apartment building where the Nemesis seemed to have a powerful sense of always knowing where Jill was. It was both horrifying and thrilling time seeing Jill fail dramatically on inflicting any damage to the mysterious monster while it did its best to eliminate her. There was no disappointment from me regarding being able to dive into this adrenaline-fueled immediately thanks to the Nemesis busting down the apartment wall of Jill in the first couple of minutes. Now, I never played the original Resident Evil 3, so I was extremely excited to dive into the world of the remake and experience one of the most successful experiences in the video game world.
